Bob Greenlee provides strategic advisory, public advocacy, and financial services to Tusk Ventures’ gaming, technology, education, and energy clients.
Prior to Tusk Ventures, Bob served as Senior Advisor to the Illinois Science and Technology Coalition, the State of Illinois’ center for technology-based economic development serving both State and local industry and university clients. At ISTC, Bob led technology demonstration and economic development projects in the energy sector, and assisted in developing and implementing the State’s Research and Development Learning Exchange, a public-private partnership designed to improve student access to independently directed inquiry driven, student research. Bob has also provided counsel to the Smart Grid Cluster, the Institute for Sustainable Energy Development, and Energy Foundry, an impact venture fund investing in the smart grid sector.
An attorney by training, Bob previously served as counsel at the Quinlan Law Firm LLC and at Kirkland & Ellis LLP, focusing on private equity, securities and public company M&A transactions. Bob also served as Deputy Governor, Deputy Chief of Staff to the Office of the Governor, and Deputy Director of the Illinois Office of Management and Budget for the State of Illinois. He holds a B.A. from Yale University and an M.A. and J.D. from the University of Chicago, where he is also a Ph.D. candidate.
